Bars in Cadaqués have preserved their traditional atmosphere thanks to the villagers who gather there every day. Local people, like most of Mediterranean people, have inherited the tradition of gathering in public places from the Greek-Roman culture. So bars and squares are key social centres.
Visitors will experience a nice and welcoming atmosphere and will be able to relax and have an aperitif or a snack facing the sea, like a great number of intellectuals did, such as Salvador Dalí or Marcel Duchamp among others. Some of these bars have photographs of famous people hanging on their walls, which is a sign of the fascinating glamour of Cadaqués.
